How does one-way container leasing differ from traditional leasing?
In one-way leasing, a carrier picks up an SOC container at a surplus location and drops it at a deficit location — no obligation to return the empty box. This saves 30-50% versus round-trip leases because repositioning costs are eliminated. Cosmos Whales has been an active Maersk partner for one-way leasing since 2023.
Do you offer door-to-door SOC delivery?
Yes. Each one-way lease contract is managed end-to-end — from SOC sourcing and container handover at the gateway port to destination delivery and off-hire coordination. Our disposal desk also handles fair-market buyout on surplus units at end-of-life.
What condition are your second-hand containers in?
All second-hand units are IICL-inspected with valid CSC plates. Available in 20' GP, 40' GP, and 40' HC configurations. Our pooled inventory of 500+ units spans Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shenzhen, and Xiamen — typically available for pickup within 48 hours.
